Urban gardens

This project has meant designing but also considering various environmental aspects: from the planting and the maintenance of plants inside an urban garden. It is relevant to clarify the importance and the significance of urban vegetable garden: from this comes around our workshop on urban gardens. It arises from the need to introduce green spaces, exploitable for what they can produce in urban areas; "the forms searching of land use alternatives to the now untenable building saturation and the social need of services that do not become ghettos reserved for vulnerable groups [...], these pictures are not the solution to the problems of the quality of life within our cities but food for thought above the urgent redefinition of our relationship with nature". Helped by experts such as an agronomist and sociologist we faced this experience in a broad sense, analyzing in depth the social aspects, everything about the community living gardens, and then the natural aspects of the development path plant and everything that goes with it: the type of soil, light, their reproduction and maintenance. With this data we moved to the actual design of the gardens, from the development of the masterplan to the insertion of the key elements for the maintaining and the livability within them.
